Job Description:
Knowledge of combustion, hybrid and electric vehicle technology. Familiarity with chassis dynamometer systems, instrumentation, and data acquisition tools. A keen eye for detail and good analytical skills to interpret test results accurately.
Skills Preferred:
- This role is based within our client's collaboration areas of Warwick University and supports both the University, our Client and 3rd Party activities.
- Candidate will be technically outfacing and responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Chassis Dynamometer Test Facility, dealing with project planning and execution of test programs.
- Candidate will be required to promote the facility at external events and work with the business team to develop the customer base both internally within our client, University partners but also promote the test capability more widely within the industry to 3rd Parties.
Experience Required:
- Prior experience in Chassis Dynamometer Vehicle Emissions Test role is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities to address any technical issues during testing.
- Capable of evaluating physical test data, drawing conclusions and being able to articulate to technical customer representatives.
Experience Preferred:
- Experience in chassis dynamometer emissions tests on combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles.
- Perform pre-test vehicle inspections to ensure they meet test requirements.
- Experience in analysing emissions test results using specialized software tools.
- Educated to degree level in a mechanical and or physics related subject.
- Collaborate with cross-functional Teams to develop innovative testing methodologies.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and regulations related to vehicle emissions testing.
Additional Information:
The role is operating and running equipment, where there may be very occasional opportunity for hybrid working, the candidate should plan to work on-site 5 days a week.
This is a practical role in a laboratory and as such candidate will need pretty much full attendance.
