Duties:
- Responsible for design and development of engaging user experiences for a variety of applications.
- Studies and evaluates how users feel about a system, looking at things like ease of use, perception of the value of the system, utility, efficiency in performing tasks, etc.
- Translates user needs and business requirements into features and functionality for web/mobile experiences.
- Develops process flows, wireframes, and prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate high-level design strategies.
- Proficient in design tools (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Fireworks, InDesign, Visio, etc.).
Responsibilities typically include:
- Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision.
- Coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level professionals.
- Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.
