Job Title: Logistics Strategic Studies Engineer

Location: Solihull

Rate:  £28.43ph via an Umbrella Company (Inside IR35) or £21.25ph on a PAYE basis

Employment Type: Contract (Currently financed until July 2027)

Hours: Standard 40 Hours Per Week

Position Description: 

 

The Logistics Strategic Studies Engineer will support the early product creation phases across all UK sites from <Pre-KO> through to <PSC> by providing high-quality data, analysis and preparatory work that enables informed decision-making across the programme environment.

Working closely with the Logistics Strategic Programmes Lead, this role will help coordinate impact assessments, consolidate programme inputs, and manage key information flows between GME Logistics and cross-functional programme teams.

Act as the day-to-day contact in GME Logistics for all programme activity in the strategy phase

Engage GME technology teams and act as key interface to support decision making during creation of the initial manufacturing strategy

Capture all part complexity, type, sequencing assumptions and m3 data from Supply Chain and programme teams and summarise latest part fit point and packaging proposals. Confirm alignment with latest solution design intent

Prepare all Intra-Logistics strategic impact assessments for <pre-KO> programme studies as requested by the Industrial Operations Strategy (IOS) team

Prepare all Intra-Logistics gateway submissions for the Industrial Operations Programme Delivery (IOPD) team from <KO> to <PSC> gateways
