Job Title: Chief of Staff, Portfolio & Budget Consumer Science

Pay Rate: £53.22 per hour - £66.63 per hour – Umbrella Co Basis (depending on experience)

Location: Remote but ideally commutable from Bournville Birmingham UK or Reading UK, so can attend site on occasions

Contract Duration: 12-18 months

Hours 36 hours per week, Monday - Friday

Annual Leave: 27 days + 8 BH per annum

Description:

To support VP Global Consumer Science to manage the Chief of Staff duties (meeting planning, organization changes etc) people and spend portfolio and planning to ensure the programs and projects with the biggest value and impact are properly resourced

Main Responsibilities:

• Manage operational and technical elements of the Consumer Science Lead Team
• Work with VP CS and People Lead to drive planning of Salary and Benefit package
• Track spending across all people and non-People cost packages throughout the year to ensure Global Consumer Science is within budget. Work closely with CSLT and Finance to identify and flag potential risks and opportunities and help prioritize the spend across the function.
• Work with Global category planners and MDS solidifying WoW's to better manage our forecasting and budget tracking throughout the year.Work with Finance on AC monthly and other reviews
• Work with the VP Global Consumer science to run analysis on the Organization to ensure the Org Design is best utilizing the resources and talent.
• Annually manage the AC planning process and oversee CMT loading for non-People and Adaptive for people spend across CS
• Provide timely updates on budget and resources and identify opportunities and risks that need to be discussed and aligned to by the CSLT.
• Lead Global Consumer Science portfolio Management process in Accolade/Nostradamus maintaining relevant KPIs / Dimensions and deliver quarterly resource and portfolio report.
• Monthly reporting on spend and organizational KPIs
• Lead Management of functional CAPEX budget
• Annual AC Planning including Nov replan, Adaptive loading etc

  Qualifications

• Proven experience and a Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative discipline such as finance, accounting, economics, data science, analytics.
• Must have experience in project management, project and organisation planning within a commercial organisation.
• Familiar with project management systems and processes (I2M, Innovation management).
• Strategic thinking, while having ability to excel in leading tactical activities
• Highly action oriented, drive for results, innovative, challenging status quo
• Excellent communication (verbal & written),
• Must be skilled at prioritization and have solid decision-making capabilities
• Must have experience managing data sets in excel environment with focus on data insights
• Experience working with large sets of advanced analytics platforms and data is a plus
• Must be comfortable with level of confidentiality required particularly with organisation planning (design and cost) and salary and benefit cost discussions
